Hi Leah-Maree, This is a very compelling subject as not many students would agree but I do see your point. Homework is good for allowing students extra time to learn a topic and memorise points and it helps teach them self management skills that they will require when they begin studying in NCEA and University. I also think homework is great to further educating yourself, it does not always need to be difficult work just personal study or reading. The weekly test sound similar to the pop quizzes used in the American education system, did you partake in those when you attended school in America and if so did you find them helpful? Hi Zana When I was living in America I did get home work to do but not so much quizzes. I was only In grade 2 when we left America but my sister did have that sort of work because she was in grade 5. I am unsure if it helped because I was not measuring the difference of here and there.
