I am posting this because we are learning about legends in class.
This is the greek myth about how the world came to be.
So in the beginning there what just chaos pretty much just lots of misty soup floating around in the sky causing chaos. After a while he settled down and created Gaea or the earth and she was literally the earth. Gaea was able to transform into a human for and walk around all over herself. One day she got bored and decided that she could really go for a man so she created the sky who named himself Ouranes. Gaea and Ouranos ended up having 3 sets of kids in their first set they had twelve kids which were called the titans. There were 6 boys and six girls. After they had the kids Ouranos went back up to the sky and was a very unhelpful father. Somewhere in there Oceanus the titan of the ocean and Tartarus to god of the giant pit below the underworld had been created. Both of these other “Things” had a crush on Gaea which made thing quite awkward with their relationship. After a while Gaea thought that If she had more kids with her husband they would become closer but instead of having cute little kids she had triplets with only one eye each, Gaea called them the elder cyclopes but Ouranouse didn't like them so he chained them up and threw them into Tartarus. He also did the same with their next set of triplets who each had 100 arms. Gaea ended up throwing a huge hissy fit and her twelve titan kids came running to help. Gaea wanted her kids to help her kill their dad which the where fine about. All six girl went away to do other stuff because they were smart enough not to get involved along with one of their brothers. So that left the five boys though the youngest brother named Kronos was the only one who volunteered to actually kill his dad. That night Gaea lured Oranous down to earth for a romantic dinner and once he was settled in the five brothers jumped out a pinned him to the ground so Kronos could slater him and scatter his body pieces all over the world. After he killed him he became king.
